Cinnabar Hills was designed by John Harbottle III and was San Jose's first public course to open in 30 years.

The 18 used here is the Canyon and Lake nines, a par 72. From the Cinnabar tees it measures 6,337 yards and rates 71.3 with a slope of 139.
